Our most popular program.
Goslings starts kids early for a lasting foundation for a life time of wonder, resilience, and belonging.
Goslings (ages 4 - 6) is about growing nature connected kids from a young age. This means kids who are calmer, more aware, compassionate and joyful. Through song, story, games, guided wanders and free play, these young kids have unusually developed awareness: they know some of the local plants, watch for animal tracks, are aware of the cardinal directions, listen to the birds.
Please note that in the fall & spring, we offer mainly full day (9am - 4pm) and on Fridays 2 half day (9am - 12pm OR 1pm - 4pm) programs. If you’d like your child to attend Fridays for the full day, simply register for the AM and PM sessions to turn it into a full day.
Schedule Options
Mondays : Full Day (PM only in Winter)
Tuesdays: Full Day (AM only in Winter)
Wednesday Full Day (AM or PM Winter)
Thursdays: Full Day (AM only Winter)
Fridays: AM, PM or Both
During winter we offer half day only programs to better respond to the needs of this age group.
What you and your child can expect
A thrilling, nurturing, and magical atmosphere in a wild, riverside cedar forest. Responsible and experienced adult instructors supporting small groups limited in size to 14 kids,
Goslings sessions are filled with all the foundational elements of Guelph Outdoor School. In recognition of this younger age, Goslings instructors emphasize the sense of wonder and mystery in the natural world through exploration, free-play, and lots of songs and story.
We maintain excellent ratios of approximately 4-5 kids per adult instructor, often with volunteer support.
